Well, if it wasn’t bad enough having my own office do on friday night, the other half has now invited me to hers too, while my own will undoubtedly be a good laugh because we all know each other, despite having to do it on a Friday, I have a feeling hers will be a very different affair.

I suppose it’s a free night out, but they are an IT company and I don’t really know anyone other than the MD, and that’s because they made me sit next to him the last couple of years, so it will probably be an evening of talking business and making sure I don’t get so drunk that I show her up.

Don’t get me wrong, I appreciate the invite and will appreciate the free bar even more, in fact the menu is pretty good too, there was the obvious option of dry turkey and overcooked veg, but I opted for the sea bass which has the potential, at least, to be quite good.  I suppose my gripe is just because I wont be able to let my hair down, and it’s some ones birthday down the local tonight, so I know where I would rather be.  Although going to the company do does mean I will get some work done tomorrow morning.

The other issue is the cold front coming in this evening, I can see us driving 40 miles each way in snow and ice too!
